October 30, 2003; 3 p.m. Fraternite Notre Dame inaugurates a village
of yurts for poor families, called Nazareth Village, in Bayanzurth District.
For
the installation, Fraternite Notre Dame's Founder and Superior General,
the Most Reverend Bishop Jean Marie Roger Kozik, initiator of this
magnificent project, has come to Mongolia to watch the implementation
of the village and proceed with its inauguration, in the presence
of Ulan Bator Vice-Mayor, Bayanzurth Governor, the Consul General
of Switzerland, Mr. Marcus Dubach, French Ambassador Mr. Nicolas Chapuis
and representatives from the American Embassy -Mrs. The Ambassador
being scheduled for a trip- along with the priests from the cathedral,
standing for the Most Reverend Bishop, and the Community of Mother
Theresa' Sisters; also came the Great Lama representative of the Buddhist.
The
Village, managed by Fraternite Notre Dame, is expected to count 60
yurts, and has been designed to welcome and help needy families in
their daily life and work, with a planned school and workshops on
the grounds.
Such
a great enterprise required important works to supply potable water
and proper sanitation, which all prominent figures and every person
present at the ceremony were able to admire on the spot, guided by
Most Reverend Bishop Jean Marie Roger Kozik.
We
want all families in the village to be able to live at peace and in
perfect harmony, without any alcohol problem, and that each family
enjoy worthy and respectable living conditions.
