This past June 14, Fraternite Notre Dame was invited to a reception at Roanne's City Hall, in the presence of its Mayor, Mr. Nicolin and Mongolian Ambassador to France, His Excellency Tsend Batbuyan, whom the Most Reverend Bishop Jean Marie had formerly met.

Indeed, the Mayor's Office had insisted to work together with an organization called "Ghengis- Roanne", created to support Fraternite Notre Dame in Mongolia and make ties with this country, which often seems so far away.

In front of the assembly, the Ambassador thanked Fraternite Notre Dame in a special way for the work accomplished in Mongolia, to benefit the poorest of the poor.

The following day, June 15, a special evening was taking place, featuring Mongolia, and also to benefit our Ulaanbaatar Mission, so as to raise funds and enable the shipment of a container filled with medical equipment and supplies, food, etc.

A show was presented on various traditional attire and costumes from Mongolia, while two Mongolian musicians performed for us typical songs from their country, with a horse-headed hurdy-gurdy, and much more.

Moving moment in that afternoon: the Photo-Reportage of Mr. Christian Verdet, a French journalist who spent an entire month at our Ulaanbaatar Mission; the Reportage had been very properly commented by the Most Reverend Bishop Jean Marie himself, on a beautiful musical background.

All those present were twisted with emotion to discover so much misery, while they marveled at, and felt grateful for the magnificent work performed there by Fraternite Notre Dame under the inspired leadership of its Founder and Superior General, the Most Rev. Bishop Jean Marie.
